The Anaheim Ducks played the Tamps Bay Lightening on Thursday night and after making a game-winning goal in overtime, Scott Niedermayer tried to give his hockey stick to a girl in the stands who was wearing his jersey. The crowd broke out into a fight over the stick and even the young girl was involved in the fight. Niedermayer wasn’t quite sure what to do, he starts to skate away, but then comes back and the lights in the arena stay on him and the fight can be seen because of it.
CNN has been airing a video clip of Thursday night’s game and it has created some buzz on the video. In an interview after the game, Niedermayer tried to explain that the stick was for the young girl.

Did the girl get the stick, after the dust settled ?
Hi Robert, that is what I want to know! No one mentioned it, not even Niedermayer in the after game interview. If anyone knows, please leave a comment and tell us. :)
Bad article title. It should be "Hockey Fans Beat Up Lowlife".
Watch the video closely. The fans are not selfishly fighting over the stick for themselves. They are fighting one guy in particular who is trying to steal the stick for himself (the guy in the front row in the blue shirt).
While there is a minor tumble at first in trying to get the stick to the little girl, it appears that the fans don't get really upset until the guy starts shouting back at them. This seems to drive them into a frenzy, at which point they quickly get the stick away from him and then proceed to beat the crap out of him for being so rude (due to his actions and his mouth).
Another news article mentions the guy who tried to steal the stick was Mike Vallely, a skateboarder and diehard fan of the Ducks.
