Since Lady GaGa has been given the status of "legend" after one album, one would think her Monster's Ball tour would generate instant sellouts, especially at mid-size arenas. Unfortunately, that's not the case.
There are still excellent seats available for Lady GaGa's show on August 17, where she plays the hugely gay populated San Jose, California. Then again, she's charging $175 for tickets. Who does she think she is--Madonna?
Just in case you couldn't make it to San Jose and are still a fan, you can always make it to GaGa's show in Toronto on July 12, where you can still buy plenty of tickets. Lady CaCa GaGa will play the Conseco Field House in Indianapolis on July 15.
Many of the other shows appear to be "sold out." But anybody who deals with Live Nation knows they can always create illusions. Many of the tickets have probably been given to third party vendors and many others have been held back.
Don't get me wrong--Lady GaGa (or Lady CaCa as many refer to her as) probably sells a lot more tickets than other female acts such as Mariah Carey or Britney Spears. However, let's not forget Madonna was filling up big football stadiums only after a couple years. Since Lady GaGa is supposed to be the "new" Madonna, one would expect her to match Madonna's sales. However, this is definitely not the case. It looks like Lady GaGa's 15 minutes are almost up.
