Fans are really upset and hitting Twitter hard with comments after seeing an advertisement during the December 1 soccer game. Fans think it is in bad taste just one day after learning of about the death of the “The Fast and the Furious” actor, Paul Walker.
The advertisement commercial was for “Cool Water” cologne by Davidoff which was broadcasted in the U.K. during the Chelsea vs. Southampton soccer match according to TMZ Sports and Fox News on December 1.
The timing of the ad seemed in bad taste and fans far and wide are letting the media know just how they feel. They are wondering what the company was thinking by releasing the advertisement. Was it run on purpose or was it a public relations blunder?
Whatever the reason for the advertisement it was wrong to have aired the commercial. Did anyone think about the repercussions this would have on Paul Walker’s 15 year-old daughter who survived him? Probably not!
Paul Walker was loved for his role in “The Fast and the Furious” and was well known for his other roles in: “She’s All That”, “Takers”, “Eight Below”, “Into the Blue” as well as appearing in the “Expedition Great White” series which aired on the National Geographic Channel.
