Vic Fangio spoke to the media on Thursday afternoon saying CB Carlos Rogers will be practicing today. The veteran cornerback left Sunday's game against Arizona with a hamstring injury.
Rogers said on Tuesday that he was going to play on Sunday, indicating his injury isn't as bad as its made out to be. Fangio said his status for the playoff game against the Packers on Sunday is "to be determined," but his injury isn't as serious as everyone thought.
"Carlos [Rogers is going] to give it a shot today," Fangio said. "The injury not as bad as it was feared."
If Rogers is out on Sunday, Tarell Brown will be the second starting CB alongside Tramaine Brock in the secondary. Eric Wright will be the nickel cornerback while recently signed CB Perrish Cox could come in for dime packages.
3:55 p.m. EDIT: Carlos Rogers was the only player not practicing on Thursday afternoon. Justin Smith and Jonathan Goodwin returned from their days off while Jon Baldwin (illness) practiced again after missing on Wednesday.
