How many times have you gone to a football game and cheered for your favorite team while screaming, yelling, waving your fists in the air, and trying to out cheer the rival team fans on the other side of the stadium? I'm sure you are guilty of this on more than one occasion. Well what happens to all those cheers, and how do you know if you beat the other teams fans?
Greg Sampson, the Founder and Fan in Chief of FanCheer aims to harness and leverage the cheers from fans, and give you something to cheer about so to speak. Using a unique platform on a mobile app, FanCheer takes your hand movements and vocal sounds, and translates them into a cheer meter that is then put up against the rival team fans that are also using the app. The winner of the FanCheer wins cool prizes like a Starbucks gift card, or discounted burritos at Chipotle.
You can also use FanCheer from home while watching a game on TV, but for the best experience, it's meant to be used at a stadium, live with the other fans in your presence.
