Like many sports fans, I find the quickest and easiest way to follow what is going on with my favorite teams is to check through social media.

But how does one cut through the clutter and see the lives scores, breaking news, and even chat with fellow fans on social media?

It's the refreshed Fanatic app.

The Fanatic app is a free iOS and Android app keeps hardcore fans up-to-date on what is going on before, during, and after the big game. As you know, with social media you can follow your teams, even when you are on the road.

“Our goal is to make Fanatic the ultimate sports fan application that provides everything a fan wants, including the ability to find the best place to watch your favorite team, to connect with fellow fans via GameChat, and to stay up to speed with the latest news via the GameFeed,” explains Babak Poushanchi, CEO & Founder of Fanatic.

Fanatic allows fans to chat with friends, other fans, or talk trash with rival fans on Twitter and news feeds.

The app also serves as a database and resource about sports bars all over the world that local fans gather to watch specific teams.

Fanatic is a must-have for the upcoming spectacle known as March Madness. Thinking ahead to the 2014 World Cup, fans will be able to follow their country and team like never before.

Fanatic is available for Android devices on Google Play and for the iOS devices in the App Store. It's perfect for fans of NFL, NBA, NCAA, MLB, NHL and MLS, along with the top European soccer leagues. You will also need to have the app ready to go for 2014 FIFA World Cup.
