A fan-made video in regards to “Kingdom Hearts 3” has been created in anticipation of the upcoming PS4 and Xbox One video game. According to a report from Motoring Crunch on April 19, the footage was spliced together by a Youtube user going by the alias of “ItsAfterFraG.” The video uses assets from previous games such as the copyright notices, game logos, menu artwork as well as the “Dearly Beloved” music track. It even includes a transition from the title screen to a previously-revealed gameplay segment.

The video creator also left a small message near the end of the video, joking that Square Enix should released “Kingdom Hearts 3” before this generation of players end up dying from waiting too long. The third main installment was teased as far back as “Kingdom Hearts 2,” which was launched for the PS2 in 2005. Since then, the publisher has released several smaller handheld entries for the series such as “Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep” and “Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.”

Square Enix would eventually announced “Kingdom Hearts 3” for the PS4 and Xbox One at E3 2013. The sequel is expected to wrap up the overarching plot so far. As a result, fans can expect the returns of many familiar faces such as Sora, Donald and Goofy. The third main entry may also feature new worlds to explore due to the recent Disney acquisitions of the Marvel and Star Wars intellectual properties.

An official release date has not yet been confirmed for “Kingdom Hearts 3.” However, the upcoming title was not listed in Sony’s 2014 schedule of PS4 video games, suggesting that the software product may not be coming out in 2014. Square Enix is planning to release “Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix,” which includes the remastered ports of the aforesaid “Kingdom Hearts 2” and “Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep,” for the PS3 this year.
