Oscar winning Gen X actress Charlize Theron and her partner Stuart Townsend have apparently split up after a 9 year relationship. The couple never married, citing the inequality of marriage rights in the United States. They said they would get married when gays and lesbians were allowed the same right to marry. Neither of those things has happened yet. A friend of the couple said: "Stuart is gutted but Charlize said that she realized during the Mexican holiday the relationship was over. They had become more like brother and sister than lovers. It was she who ended it."
Gen Xers--Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love’s daughter, Frances Bean is making her singing debut on an upcoming album. She is set to sing a song called “My Space” with My Chemical Romance’s Gerard Way. It’s just one song on an album by a group called Evelyn Evelyn, but the 17 year old comes from impressive genes and it will be interesting to see how it turns out. The album will be out in March. 4-time NASCAR Champion Jeff Gordon and his wife Ingrid announced this week that they are expecting their second child. Ingrid is 3 months pregnant and the NASCAR season is right around the corner. Gordon wrote this statement on his website: "Ingrid and I wanted to be the first to tell you ... the exciting news that Ingrid is 12 weeks pregnant and expecting our second child," Gordon, 38, wrote. "We're very excited and can't wait to expand our family to four. Ella is also very excited and can't stop talking about how much she's looking forward to being a big sister."
According to TMZ.com, Gen X actor Charlie Sheen is about to be charged with a felony for his assault on his wife on Christmas day. He is looking at felony menacing and misdemeanor assault charges in California. That could actually end up putting the Gen X bad boy star of Two and a Half Men---in prison. Not likely, but it could happen. (Just this morning Sheen reported his SUV stolen. It was found wrecked at the bottom of an L.A. canyon...hmmm).
Remember the Chicago Bears “Super Bowl Shuffle” song and video? Well that was 25 years ago! This week it was announced that they will be debuting a remake of the video in an ad for Boost Mobile. So on Super Bowl Sunday, keep your eye out for the commercial and you should spot the old QB Jim McMahon, Linebacker Mike Singletary, Coach Mike Ditka and others from the Bears team 25 years ago.

Wow, that's a lot of news. I'm a bit surprised about Charlize's break-up. I hate to break it to her but after being with the same person for a long time, romance tends to go out the window. If she's looking for excitement, she'll have to become a serial dater.
