Shaw JCC of Akron will host the Family Wellness Expo, a special family-fun interactive event, Sunday January 22 from Noon till 4:00p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The event features a wide variety of hand-on activities around pertinent topics including wellness, nutrition, finance and education. There will guest speakers, live presentations and more.
Guest appearances include Grover from Sesame Street, Author Miriam Weinstein of The Surprising Power of Family Meals and a presentation by Key Bank on saving for college. There will be story time, face painting and a variety of hands-on activity for the whole family.
Various Akron area community organizations will have info booths and activities including Akron Children’s Hospital, Child Guidance and Family Solutions, Guardians Against Sexual Predators, The Mustard See, Summa Health Systems and Summit County Metro Parks who will provide information about family fitness through parks and recreation.
Shaw JCC of Akron will also provide information on their related services including sports & recreation, child care, membership opportunities and fitness.
Shaw JCC of Akron is located at 750 White Pond Drive in West Akron. On-site and off-site parking is available. Shuttle service is available for certain off-site locations beginning at 11:15 a.m. thru 4:00 p.m. Additional information can be obtained at their website.
