Family of 7 kidnapped: Three French adults, four children taken in Cameroon

In top news today, a family of 7 kidnapped has the global public worried, Fox News reported this Tuesday, Feb. 19, as President Francois Hollande confirmed that a family from France of seven people — three adults and four children — were recently kidnapped in Cameroon.

Hollande hinted that the Boko Haram group likely played a role in this kidnapping this Tuesday. The French Minister added it was “probably a sect Boko Haram.”

The motive or details of the kidnapping are still under investigation, say reports.

Hollande is now warning French citizens in Cameroon to take care “exposing themselves” after the four children and three adults were taken this morning.

The family of 7 kidnapped is believed to have been taken to Nigeria, where the extremist group Boko Haram took responsibility for the abduction of the French family.

The French military is currently in works with the Malian army to help defeat fighters from Islam who took over the northern area of the country following a military coup late in 2012. The most recent kidnappings made the fears toward Westerners worse this week, the report closed.

It also warned that there may be more kidnappings and attacks in the near future. This news comes only hours after North Korea threatened to give a "final destruction" to South Korea today.
