Update 5/30/14: Harley is safe!

When Harley's family made arrangements to move, for one reason or another, they did not make arrangements to take him along with them.

On May 19, the beautiful, seven-year-old German shepherd was surrendered to the Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control facility in Baldwin Park, Calif.

Today, Harley is still waiting in his kennel run - a solitary place, far removed from a true "home."

Harley is described as a sweet dog who gets along with people, and other dogs - staff has noted that he is not overly energetic. Harley is already neutered - he just needs to find that one special family who is willing to give him a chance.
