You're likely now familiar with the heartbreaking story of Hanah, the dog who was ripped from her mother, Kari's, arms during the Joplin tornado this past May. Kari and her husband, Carl, have not given up hope and know their Hanah is out there somewhere. But she'll have no home to return to, as Kari and Carl's house was destroyed in the tornado.
The Joplin Globe Facebook page posted this status today: Producers of ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" are looking for stories of families who survived the tornado and are in need of a new home. You can send stories/photos to Casting.Joplin@EMHE.TV.
Who better to nominate for a new home than Kari and Carl? And what better way to get national televised attention for their missing dog? According to the Bring Hanah Home Facebook page, "It's the only home Hanah has known and Kari wants to be there when she shows up. We would appreciate it for those compelled to do so, if you could write in and tell them how Hanah has impacted your life. Help them understand how important it is there is a home ready and waiting for our Fatgirl."
On behalf of Kari, Carl, and Hanah, please take a moment to email the producers of Extreme Makeover and ask them to choose this family for their makeover.
