Rumor mills are buzzing with word that rapper Curtis “T.I.” Harris and his singer-made-homemaker wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris may be on the verge of a divorce. As of January 27, 2014, confirmations of the couple's separation are spreading like wildfire throughout media outlets.
The 56th Grammy Awards nomination show, which aired on January 26, 2014, on CBS.
We have been seeing a fair bit of rapper sensation and family guy, Curtis “T. I.” Harris (aka Tip) on stage, performing hit “Blurred Lines”, and on screen with CBS’ reality show “T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle”. However, Tip was eerily absent during the 56th Grammy Awards on January 26, 2014. Apparently for good reason, as it turns out, the rumor mills are spewing that T.I. and Tiny had a heated exchange that resulted in him being unable (or unwilling) to perform his musical duties.
(If true, it wouldn't be the first time that disputes are associated with the hot single. See video attached.)
Whether the rumors are true or not, there seems to be some question as to the stability of the marriage between T.I. and Tiny.
Normally coupled up, both T.I. and Tiny were seen hob-knobbing the entertainment scene sans spouse. T.I. was caught, on red carpet, in attendance at the Roc Nation Pre-Grammy Brunch on January 25, 2014, presented by MAC Viva Glam, at a private residence…and, later, totally wasted (per his own account, see photo) with an artist of his, Izzy Azalea. While Tiny was out hanging with the girls (in long-sleeved, color blocked mini dress splendor) at Tamar Braxton’s post Grammy party at (Tamar Braxton was nominated for three categories: Best R&B Song, Best R&B Performance, and Best Urban Contemporary Album, … but won none.)
All’s fair in love and hip hop. Oh wait, no, that’s a different reality show!
Never the less, marriage is hard, especially when it involves big careers, tons of money and a lot of kids.
Although T.I. posted some things on his Instagram that may have implied that he was moving on, Tiny’s best buddy & main hair stylist, Shekinah Anderson, has assured the fans and haters that all is well in the land of Hustletown.
We are encouraged to hear that! … as are at least 40,000 folks that liked Shekinah’s Instagram post.
We can’t wait to see the two chumming it up, with big smiles, love and tenderness again. If buddy Shakinah is right, it shouldn’t be long before the rumor mill moves on to greener pastures.
Are you fans or haters? Do you think they will be able to weather this storm?
