'Family Guy' writer Alec Sulkin wishes death for Dick Cheney on Twitter

"Family Guy" writer Alec Sulkin demonstrated that liberalism is an ideology of rage and hate when he issued a tweet wishing former Vice President Dick Cheney would die, Twitchy reported Saturday.

"RIP Dick Cheney, I hope," he wrote.

"Four years later and gutter-dwelling Dick Cheney haters still can’t let it go. Wishing death on 71-year-old Dick Cheney? Obsessed much?" the Twitchy staff wrote.

"For a supposedly edgy comedy writer, Sulkin sure needs some new material. Railing against the eeeeevil Bush-Cheney cabal is so 2008," Twitchy added.

"[D]o you wish death on everyone you disagree with politically?" one person asked in response.

"Nice. Wishing death on ppl you disagree with is just so HIP & COOL," another person tweeted.

Twitchy reminded readers of another hateful tweet Sulkin issued after the devastating earthquake and tsunamis in Japan.

“If you wanna feel better about this earthquake in Japan, google 'Pearl Harbor death toll,' he wrote.

Newsbusters' Noel Sheppard said that Sulkin deleted the tweet and issued an apology.

"But," Sheppard wrote, "that was followed by: 'If you wanna feel better about the floods in New Jersey, google 'MTV's Jersey Shore'.'"

Sulkin was named one of the 25 funniest people on Twitter last year.
