After Brian got killed off the series on Nov. 24, fans reacted quite negatively. However, it has not been determined that that is the reason he is being brought back on the show.

The assumption can be made that the return of Brian is because of fan reaction because more than 128,000 Brian fans signed an online petition at to bring the dog back to the show.

Allegedly, an episode entitled “Christmas Guy” will have Stewie – a character on the show – devise a master plan to get the one and only thing he wants for Christmas. Of course, one can assume that the only thing in the world he wants most is to have the family dog back.

The initial statement about killing Brian off last month was that the creators of the show wanted to shake things up a bit – and it was thought that killing off the family dog would be less stressful to viewers than killing off one of the kids. Twitter quickly blew up and asked, “Why didn’t you kill off Meg?” For the love of dogs!

Naturally, there are those who believe the entire act of killing off Brian was nothing more than a publicity stunt - and that the plan was to bring him back all along, anyway. We may never know for sure.
