If you’re looking at kicking back this week-end after all the Halloween activities, downtown Phoenix offers many choices for families-- but these two are sure to please. Whether it’s classic fairy tales or Elmo, it’s a great time to bring the youngsters and spend some time in downtown.
Valley Youth Theater
This weekend, the Valley Youth Theater will be performing The Princess and the Pea, a much-loved fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. This is a story about how a prince looks for ways to find the perfect princess so that the kingdom can be saved. Performance times are Friday, November 1st at 7:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday, November 2nd and 3rd, at 12:00 noon and 3:00 pm. Tickets are $18.00. The address is 525 North First Street.
The Sesame Street gang, including Elmo and Big Bird, will be performing a live musical this weekend at the Comerica Theater. Your little ones will love to see their favorite colorful Sesame Street characters live on stage this Friday, November 1st at 10:30 am and 7:00 pm, and Saturday, November 2nd at 10:30 am, 2:00 and 5:30 pm, and Sunday, November 3rd at 1:00 and 4:30 pm. Ticket prices start at $17.50, and the address is 400 West Washington Street.
