Family Fun Days at Wild Mountain

There's more than one way to buy a lift ticket, as Wild Mountain, Minnesota proves. The ski area, northeast of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area, offers a number of options for buying lift tickets, lessons, and rentals. Take, for example, Family Fun Days.

On these days, you can buy lift tickets and rentals at a special price. Lift tickets are $33 for adults and $23 for children six to 12 years old. The usual price is $43 and $33, respectively. Rentals are $13, also a substantial discount off usual rates of $22 per child or $26 for adult.

If you have "never-ever" riders or skiers in your family, they can take advantage of the "Never Ending" lessons that are offered on these days. You start anytime between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., and work your way through skill stations.

More advanced skiers and riders, meanwhile, can have fun on North Wild (bumps), Main Stage (freestyle park), or The Wall (a short but steep slope). Sunshine and Broadway are fun cruising slopes.

There are several Fun Days left in the season: February 18 and 4, and March 2 and 10. Head to the resort's website to print out a coupon.
