Is it possible to find Halloween activities that are safe, clean and fun for the entire family?
Lifechurch Canton sure believes so, and are rolling out the welcome mat for the entire community to join them for their 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat Event.
What: Trunk or Treat
When: Sunday, October 31st from Noon – 1:30 p.m.
Where: Lifechurch parking lot, at the intersection of Haggerty and Warren
What to expect: Inflatable games, food, music, families and fun
Who’s invited: Children and adults of all ages
What to wear: Your favorite non-scary costume
What to bring: Your family, and of course, a bag to carry all of that candy.
Similar to the tradition of going door-to-door, trick or treaters travel from decorated car to car, each one manned by family members of lifechurch.
Lifechurch keeps a strong focus on children and families, as evidenced by their Lifekids Program that runs each Sunday during worship at 9:00 a.m., 10:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Known as the BLAST Zone, (Believing, Learning and Seeking Truth, or BLAST), lifekids uses crafts, music and activities to teach children up to the fifth grade about the story of Jesus and other relevant stories from the Bible. As children enter the BLAST Zone, they know immediately they are in for a great adventure, week after week.
“We love to create events the entire family can enjoy. It’s one of our specialties,” says Alex Rahill, Lead Pastor at lifechurch. “It’s a good thing for people to pass by and think, ‘Wow! Looks like they are having a great time over there.’ And we are. Not just on Halloween, but year round.”
