In their Auditorium Theatre debut, Houston Ballet perform’s choreographer David Bintley’s Aladdin tonight and tomorrow at 2 p.m. Also appearing at the Auditorium is River North Dance Chicago on April 12. “River North Dance Chicago continues to thrill Auditorium audiences each and every time they bring their unique movement and dazzling work to our historic stage,” adds Auditorium Theatre Executive Director Brett Batterson. “It is a pleasure to welcome them back to the Auditorium after their successful Chicago premiere of Havana Blue in 2013 and an even greater pleasure to have them perform on our stage with another incredible Chicago institution, The Chicago Children’s Choir.”

Reggie Wilson and his company Fist & Heel Performance Group come to Chicago’s Dance Center to perform in its 15th season of FamilyDance Matinees (April 3–5) on 1306 S. Michigan Avenue. “This is the second time my work has been presented at The Dance Center,” notes Wilson, “My relationship with The Dance Center feels deep and long; I trust that it will be there into the future.”

In Evanston, The Henry and Leigh Bienen School of Music’s 10th annual Spring Festival, Revelation—From China to Spanish Harlem runs from March 30 into April.
