After trying out for "Family Feud," a man shot and killed his wife before turning the gun on himself. On Oct. 3 it was reported that the man and his wife got into an argument just after midnight at their home in Illinois, hours after he had returned home from trying out for the popular game show (his wife did not try out). She called 911 and told the dispatcher that her husband was threatening her with a firearm... by the time police arrived, it was too late.
According to the report, the husband and wife -- who just got married a couple of months ago -- were both pronounced dead at the scene. "They had their ups and downs, like any marriage. But nothing this extreme," said a family member. Evidently, there was a domestic dispute involving police in 2012. Sometimes marriages aren't what they seem, especially behind closed doors.
It's unknown whether or not this particular family was chosen to appear on "Family Feud" or if the tryout had anything to do with the argument.
