We all love tips to make our life just a little bit more manageable. As your Dallas Household Tips Examiner I search for tips for myself and pass them along to my readers.

In my article Family and health tip: Homemade shapeable ice pack and heat pack I told you an easy way to make your own ice and heat packs now here are some more tricks for those same simple and fun to make packs.

You can easily add some color to your ice or heat pack if you don't want to make little pocket cases for them.Just add about a half of a cup to three-fourths of a cup of regular blue Dawn dish soap in a heavy duty baggie and freeze! You can also use your vacuum sealer, these are also great for coolers; they will keep your contents cool all day.

Corn syrup works great too, for a filler to freeze. Just add it straight into baggie, no need to even add water, and you can even add food coloring for different colors!

If you find your Ziploc baggie leaks, try double bagging your pack.
