Do you have a family member with Medical Assistance?
Do you know about the mental health and drug and alcohol benefits that are available to your family member? We would like to hear from you!!
Community Care manages the mental health and drug and alcohol services for individuals with Medical Assistance under the HealthChoices program.
The family advisory committee:
• Explains how to get mental health and drug and alcohol services.
• Listens to your concerns or problems with the mental health and drug
and alcohol services managed by Community Care.
• Encourages your suggestions on how to improve the quality of mental
health and drug and alcohol services managed by Community Care.
If you are an adult family member of a currently enrolled HealthChoices member, you will be paid $25 for attending FAC meetings. Family members driving to the meeting will be paid the prevailing corporate rate for round-trip travel from home to the meeting, including extra miles to pick up and/or drop off other family members attending the meeting. Riders are not paid for mileage.
The family member must register by calling the number below and stay for the entire meeting in order to be paid.
