MAPLE SHADE -- When Just4Kids Consignment opens its doors tomorrow for its 3-day sale, it will be its biggest sale ever. Over 225 consignors contributed more than 26,000 items. That's 5000 more items previous years.
That's 5000 more reasons for local families to check it out.
"Families can really benefit from shopping the sale," said owner Sue Polokoff. "We have a huge selection of quality items at a small fraction of what they would pay if they shopped retail."
Just4Kids is a seasonal storefront, which holds a multi-day sale a few times a year. Sales are usually in March and August. Families sign up to consign their unused kids items, drop them off and Polokoff and her volunteers do the rest.
Volunteers were hard at work today sorting the clothes, toys, books, gear and other kids items.
The sale starts Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and continues Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. The last day of the sale is Sunday, when many items are marked down to half off the sale price. Hours on Sunday are 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
As they have for the past three sales, Just4Kids is partnering with Little Sport (across the parking lot) for a drop and shop. Families can arrange to let their 2-6 year-old children play at Little Sport for $5 an hour as they shop the sale.
"It's a great chance to shop in peace," Polokoff said.
Shopping tips from Just4Kids include:
- Bring along a laundry basket or resusable shopping bags, as the store's shopping bags will be limited.
- Wear comfortable shoes.
- While children are welcomed, do not leave them unattended in the toy section.
- Consider buying clothing a size larger since they have may have dryer shrinkage.
- Friday morning is the busiest time of the sale, so expect lines.
- Look over items before purchasing because all sales are final.
This is the seventh Just4Kids sale in Maple Shade. The first sale was in 2009. The store is located in the Kings Highway Commerce Center, 119 Kings Hwy, in the same center as Little Sport. They accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and Visa/MC-based debit cards for payment.
