The exhibit opened last evening with all of the excitement that one could expect from this art-intensive community. The Artspace digs on South Maple Street are a happening place just blocks away where George Washington was once a vestryman. If Thomas Jefferson had been in the neighborhood at Wren’s Tavern, both would have been here to see the new work.

Don't be left on the outside; come on in.

One thing that makes Falls Church Arts stand out as being exceptional is the organization's attention to details that assist arts patrons such as meticulous cataloguing of artists' works published in the show’s program. Each artist is listed along with their work and price schedule.

On opening night there is much conversation and activity. So, if you want some peaceful time to stroll the gallery, come on a weekday or during specially scheduled events like tonight's local premiere film screening by Mark Byrne.

“Mark Byrne founded Absurd Productions Pictures to produce genre-defying works of fiction with an independent slant, beginning with the dark comedy The Worker Bees, an Official Selection to the 2002 Artomatic Film Festival in 2001.”
