The first story details for the rumored “Fallout 4” video game may have been leaked. On Dec. 11, Kotaku apparently found casting call documents containing the background of the main playable character as well as the story leading up the title.
The video game starts out with the player using the “war never changes” tagline from previous installments of the series. He would then tell a story about how the world was on the brink of nuclear war in 1945. Instead of using nuclear weapons, limitless nuclear power was developed, which ushered in a luxurious era.
In the 21st century, however, the entire world is in danger of going to war as all of the resources have been nearly depleted. Players will be taking control of an individual, who had just been awakened from the cryogenic sleep chamber. The former Army soldier also has an infant son and wife.
Furthermore, Kotaku confirmed that “Fallout 4” will be set in Boston although the website admitted that the casting call documents could be outdated. Bethesda Softworks, the publisher of the previous installments of the series, refused to comment when asked about the leaks.
The gaming company has remained silent in regards to the next project from Bethesda Game Studios. The development team announced earlier this year that they have moved on to a new untitled video game.
