This week's "Falling Skies" episode saw three notable character deaths – Lourdes, Dr. Kadar and Tector – and the number of survivors reduced from 100 to 30 in the bloodiest battle yet on the show. Scorch sought his revenge, and Tom knew he wouldn't stop until he was dead – and then Tector donned the Ghost gear and took action. Meanwhile, Maggie was seriously injured during the battle, and her status, other than a look at her buried under debris, was unknown at the end of the episode. Elsewhere, Ben went off to try to get through to Lexi, but instead, she took him onto one of the beamers.

Now, in this next episode, the 2nd Mass has to pick up the pieces after the devastating attack in Chinatown. Maggie is fighting for her life, and Hal is fighting for Maggie. Meanwhile, Tom and Dingaan are cut off from the others, buried under tons of rubble, and they must rely on an enemy ship to rescue them.

The "A Thing With Feathers" promo offers a look at Tom and Dingaan climbing up to get out – and into one of the enemy ships?! When Tom touches something, something seems to crawl into him – and not only is it moving inside him, it's spreading. Meanwhile, the voiceover teases, "survival can come with a price." When Hal finds Maggie, she can't move her legs. She's paralyzed, but there may be a way to help her: Ben's spikes, which Denny healing in 407 foreshadowed.

Don't forget to check out the slideshow to see the episode 408 photos. The 2nd Mass survivors raise a toast, Pope and Sara are out scouting together and Tom and Dingaan sit for a chat. Plus, it looks like the procedure works on Maggie since we see her standing with Hal.

"Falling Skies" season 4 airs Sundays at 10 p.m. on TNT. What do you think of the episode 8 "A Thing With Feathers" photos and promo?
