Are you ready for the two-hour "Falling Skies" season 4 finale? At the end of the Sunday, Aug. 24 episode, Lexi made her surprising return to the 2nd Mass with quite the entrance – blowing up the beamers about to attack, so what comes next? That's what we asked Noah Wyle when we spoke to him recently.

At the end of episode 10, Lexi shows up just when the 2nd Mass needs her. How does everyone react? Should they trust her?

Well, some do, some don't. Tom doesn't. He doesn't. He kind of keeps his eye on her.

How would you compare the season 4 finale to the previous three?

I'm glad we're doing a two-hour finale. I always like two-hour finales. I think it'll be pretty exciting. We had a difficult mandate handed to us at the beginning of the season from Steven Spielberg. He really wanted Tom to find this spaceship and fly it to the moon and blow up a base on the moon, which put a lot of pressure on the writing staff to find a plausible way of accomplishing that, and I think we did. I think it's going to be really exciting. I think it's going to be a great finale. One of our better ones.

Then there's the very real threat of human skitterization in Chinatown. How does the 2nd Mass cope with that?

That's what's underlying this mission that we're taking, is that if I don't take this mission to the moon, we're all going to die anyway or at least get turned into these alien hybrids, like Weaver's daughter was. So that's enough of a threat to make me do something that's seems pretty insane, like fly a spaceship to the moon.

"Falling Skies" season 4 ends Sunday at 9 p.m. on TNT.
