Fall TV 2011: Anderson Cooper, Rosie O'Donnell kick off new talk shows (photos)

The St. Louis TV landscape will be cluttered with talk shows this fall. Here's a look at what's new for the chatty class of 2011.

THE NEW CLASS

Anderson

  • What is it? CNN anchor Anderson Cooper comes to daytime, promising social issues, pop culture, and human interest.
  • When? Weekdays at 4 p.m. on ABC 30, premiering Sept. 12

Bill Cunningham

  • What is it? Radio personality and opinionated attorney Bill Cunningham joins the fray of confrontational talk TV.
  • When? Weekdays at 11 a.m. on KPLR 11, premiering Sept. 19

The Chew

  • What is it? ABC's replacement for the cancelled All My Children is an hourlong lunchtime talk show that's all about food.
  • Who's in? The co-hosts are Mario Batali, Michael Symon, Carla Hall, Clinton Kelly and Daphne Oz.
  • When? Weekdays at noon on ABC 30, premiering Sept. 26

Dr. Drew's Lifechangers

  • What is it? Relationship expert and media personality Dr. Drew Pinsky and a team of experts will endeavor to help viewers and guests get a fresh start.
  • When? Weekdays at 3 p.m. on KPLR 11, premiering Sept. 19

The Jeremy Kyle Show

  • What is it? A confrontational British host often compared to Maury Povich or Jerry Springer is bringing his act across the pond to America.
  • When? Weekdays at 1 p.m. on My 46, premiering Sept. 19

THE VETERANS

Dr. Oz

  • What's new? A broader focus, including more interviews and audience giveaways as the show begins a third season.
  • When? Weekdays at 2 p.m. on KSDK NewsChannel 5, beginning Sept. 12

Live with Regis and Kelly

  • Who's out? 80-year-old Regis Philbin begins his fall farewell. His final show is Nov. 18.
  • Who's in? Co-host Kelly Ripa will remain, and her successor has yet to be named.
  • When? Weekdays at 9 a.m. on KPLR 11

The Doctors

  • Who's in? Psychologist and author Dr. Wendy Walsh joins the panel for the show's fourth season.
  • When? Weekdays at 10 a.m. on KPLR 11, beginning Sept. 12

The Talk

  • Who's out? Co-hosts Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete were not asked to return for season 2. Sharon Osbourne will reduce her role on the CBS talk show this year.
  • Who's in? Conservative personality Sheryl Underwood joins returning hosts Julie Chen and Sara Gilbert. The show will also feature rotating guest hosts. Former SNL star Molly Shannon has signed on for September; Kardashian mom Kris Jenner is on tap for October.
  • When? Weekdays at 1 p.m. on KMOV channel 4

  • Great Day St. Louis, weekdays at 10 a.m. on KMOV channel 4
  • Show Me St. Louis, weekdays at 12:30 p.m. on channel 5, beginning Sept. 12
