The Medina Railroad Museum, located at 530 West Ave. in Medina, has a number of fall foliage runs and winery tour train runs scheduled for September and October that would be great for families and couples.
The Niagara Wine Trail Winery Trains run on Saturdays, September 7th, 14th, 21st and October 5th. Sample wines from the trail and enjoy a two-hour ride through vineyards, orchards and the historic Erie Canal Corridor. Passes are $55 for First Class and $45 for Coach Fare.
Fall Foliage Excursion Trains will run Wednesdays, October 9th, 16th and 23rd, plus Sunday, October 20th. Trains leave the museum at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., except for October 9th, which leaves at 10 a.m. Additional dates departing from 5 Gooding St. in Lockport at 2 p.m. include Sunday, October 6th and Saturday and Sunday, October 12th and 13th. Tickets are $22 for adults, $20 for seniors, $15 for children ages 2 to 17, and free for children under 2; fares include Museum admission as well.
The Medina Railroad Museum will also host Halloween Trains this year, on Saturday, October 19th and Friday and Saturday, October 25th and 26th. These adult-themed Fright Nights will feature hors d’oeuvres, live music and wines and microbrews. Tickets are $35 per person.
