September is Skin Care Awareness month. All summer we have been out in the sun planting, running, playing with the kids, at the beach, laying out. It can really do a number on your skin. As a Skin Care Professional, I promote good skin care all year long. But I know that my clients are out in the elements most of the time in the summer. So I push for regular facials and definitely preach sunscreen. However, now that we are hitting the fall months, this is the time that we can really treat our skin and get it in good shape. What you do in the fall can carry over into the summer and also keep you more aware of what you do to your skin. After all of that work that you have put in during the fall and winter months, you do not want to ruin it in the summer. So you will be more keen to protect your investment. After all, I can honestly say that I have never had a client to tell me that they do not regret ruining their skin when they were younger. I am always told that if you have the chance to please tell these young folks that they are going to regret it later with the tanning beds and laying out at the beach. If you are going to lay out, at least use a sunscreen. Its better than nothing at all and you still will get a tan.
A great way to get started on a great skin care regimen is to find a skin care professional. They will bring you in and give you a thorough cleansing and skin care analysis. You will then be given information that will tell you what type of skin you have and what is best for keeping your youthful look. If you have skin care problems, they will also recommend a regimen that will help you to combat that. We all can use makeup to cover our not so favorite things about our skin. However, its better to face it head on and use our makeup to only enhance our beauty. So, now you have your first assignment: Find a Skin Care provider and get your analysis. See you tomorrow for some great skin care ideas.
