Fall Parent Challenge 2011-Week 2

This week doesn't take anything but you, your kiddo, and a little bit of time.  Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to get on your walking shoes, grab your little one(s) and go on a nature walk.  Gather things you find along the way and put them in your pockets, a basket, or like us, a recycled Coffeemate creamer bottle, then take them home and create either a collage or a scrap book page.

We took this challenge last fall and took a walk near Main City Park in Gresham, just outside of Portland and gathered things with a theme: The Changing Season.  We left the bottle out for a while for all to see, since it was clear, and then we turned it into art by gluing our finds on paper.

Tip-If you gather leaves and flowers that aren't dry yet, you can dry them or press them before creating art that won't rot.

Take pictures of your journey and send them along so we can see what fun you're having!
