Well it is fall in the Antelope valley and while we cannot quite depend on fall weather yet we can depend on a great Art Auction hosted by Youth Support Association and Yes2Kids on Saturday October 23rd. Youth Support Association has served the youth in the antelope Valley for twenty years this fall with the PhoneFriend and Teen Talk Help lines. As part of their annual fundraiser for the two programs YSA will host its annual art show in collaboration with Yes2Kids. The auction will include great artists Dali, Agam, Delacroix, Kinkade, Disney, Picasso, and Neiman.
Last year YSA had an incredible turnout and showed the Antelope Valley how easy and fun it can be to participate in an auction. Guests will have the op[opportunity to preview all the works before the auction. This year is a special event for YSA as it is also a celebration of their 20th anniversary serving the community. Past volunteers and friends of the program are invited to participate in a look back on the twenty great years of service. Dessert and hors d'oevres will be served during the preview of the art beginning at 3:00pm October 23rd; the Auction will begin at 4:30pm. Tickets are currently for sale at $15.00 per person or $25.00 for a couple, tickets come with one opportunity ticket for a door prize. For those unable to participate on Saturday the 23rd there will be an early-bird incentive on Sunday October 24th at 9am to noon where guests can take a second look at the art and participate in the final auction. Both auctions will include lithographs, engravings, etchings, watercolors, and giclee prints. Bids begin at a reasonable price in order to allow for more involvement from the community. If you are looking to improve your art collection, begin a collection, or just want to spend a nice afternoon with some wonderful people give YSA a call at 661-949-6615 and request info for pre-sale tickets or head over to 918 W. Ave J in Lancaster in John Wesley Hall at the Lancaster United Methodist Church on the 23rd and enjoy the thrill of the auction.
