Fall Garland Library Events: Public Book Sale ends this weekend

                  To all Garland Locals and fall visitors, this month we have a line-up of the Fall Events at the Local Libraries. Check out the Library Main Page to update your account information or become a member!

Friends of the Library Book Sale this Saturday Sept. 25th 2010 from 10: 00 AM to 2:00 PM at the South Garland Library located of 4845 Broadway Blvd in Garland TX, 75043. Most hardback books priced at $1 dollar, with most paperback books priced at 50 cents. The book sale will be located in the back of the library to the left of the video and audio book rental section. The Page Turns Book Discussion Group: Next meeting is Thursday Oct. 28 at 7 PM at the Central Library 625 Austin Street
They will be discussing The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Steig Larsson
This is a free event open to anyone over the age of 18 years. New Members are always welcomed!

Senior Social Hour at the Library- Free: Must be 55 or older to attend World Class Juggling and Magic with David Slick on Thursday Oct. 14th 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Central Library. Light refreshments will be provided, they are without registration, but seating will be limited so get there early and socialize! This event will be sponsored by Friends of the Library.

Get your green thumb ready this fall because the Library Presents- Grow Your Own Fall Texas Vegetable Garden with Master Gardner Tim Allsup on Saturday Oct. 16th 2010 at the Central Library. Visit them online at www.nmls.lib.tx.us

Teen Open Mic Night at the Library: Grab the mic at the library and share your music, art, creative, acting and acoustic skills. We will accept spoken word and acoustic performances only please. Come Tuesday Oct. 19th 7:00 PM- 8:30 PM and share your art! Performance time sign-up is from 6:30 – 7:00 PM. You must be 12 to 18 years old to perform.

Craft Extravaganza!
Monday, October 4, 2 - 4 p.m. at the Central Library
Visit the Central Library for a FREE drop-in Crafts Extravaganza for kids on GISD Fair Day! Children will use their imaginations to create a variety of craft projects.
The Library will provide all the supplies!
