If you left your heart in San Francisco, you’ll be happy to know that it’s the place to be this autumn for a pair of major green conferences.
First up is Verge – an event that brings together innovators, entrepreneurs and leading public officials “to explore opportunities for radical efficiencies created through technology advancements in energy, buildings and transportation.”
The conference will be held at the Palace Hotel from October 14-17th and will feature tutorials, financing techniques for energy market transformation, keynote interviews with authors and industry leaders, and a wide variety of educational sessions.

Then, in November, it’s San Francisco’s turn to host Green Festival. This year’s event is being held at the Concourse Exhibition Center from November 9-10 with all the special features attendees have enjoyed in the past.
These include do-it-yourself demonstrations, provocative cinema, renowned keynote speakers, live music, constant “eco-edutainment,” thematic pavilions and stages focused on green business, green building strategies, renewable energy, fair trade, healthy lifestyle, sustainable practices, organic gardening, and more.
And, of course, Green Festival San Francisco will include a Green Kids Zone, a Community Action Pavilion, a green careers resource center, an organic food court, an organic beer and wine garden, and a Green Marketplace featuring products and services from local, regional and national businesses and organizations.
