Twice a year, Detroit Restaurant week provides a local showcase of Detroit chefs and restaurant cuisines. The fall installment for 2013 is under way until Sept. 29. Restaurant Week is a way to showcase local chef's and the Detroit dining experience.
There are local staple restaurants like Cliff Bell's and Coach Insignia atop the Renaissance Center, as well as newcomers like Jefferson House inside the historic Pontchartrain Hotel (now the Crowne Plaza) and Guns + Butter. Guns + Butter is a new concept to Restaurant Week, it is a pop up restaurant located in the new Shinola flagship store in the Midtown district.
Participating restaurants will showcase their finest foods of the season and provide a unique dining experience privy to Detroit. Diners will enjoy a three-course meal at the participating 18 restaurants for $30 per person, not including beverages, tax and gratuity.
