This year, haunted houses are being well advertised for an adult crowds locally in Las Vegas by the media. The uncommonly known events are the ones filled with real thrill and excitement. Adults are not the only ones who can enjoy some Halloween fun. Family centered, outdoor amusements are popping up around the valley. Events like this are intended for tiny tots and over-grown kids alike. Harvest Festivals this fall can entertain all.
Just a couple of note-worthy attractions for 2013 have a long history in the area. As the Las Vegas area is too hot grow pumpkins with its 100 degree plus summers. Some venues are shipping in tons of pumpkins from local farms to retail to festival customers. Pumpkin patches have a simple country appeal to suburban families. The average price to pay for these pumpkins begins at 50 cents per pound. The first Fall Festival I recommend is at the Las Vegas Farm. Located in the North West, at 7222 West Grand Teton Drive in Las Vegas, NV. According to their website, it was "established in 1961, The Las Vegas Farm is an agricultural time capsule; truly a one-of-a-kind outdoor museum that is home to an antique inheritance of farming machinery and equipment owned through three generations of the Linsebardt family." Entrance is cost is one of the less inexpensive at only $2. Rides and other attractions are priced reasonably. Hayrides; mazes; pumpkin patches; and farm animal petting zoo is available. Las Vegas Farm is open from October 17 to October 20, and October 24 to 31 from 10 am to 7 pm. Please visit the website at: www.thelasvegasfarm.com
The next Fall Festival is being held at the Nevada Pumpkin Patch. Located at 1600 North Rampart or 10401 Garden Park Drive in Las Vegas, NV 89134.This is a perfect place for toddlers and younger children. Two kinds of hayrides operate, both horse drawn and by tractor. Corn mazes run during the day and a night. Also a haunted version of the maze is sure to put a scare in your trip. A mini cow train; corn boxes; and age appropriate games will be open to the public. Coupons can be printed off from their homepage for saving on entrance fess and buying pumpkins. Harvest products like apple cider, fresh made pumpkin pies, and others will be sold. Please visit their website at: www.pumpkinpatchandmore.org
