Catch some white water this fall on the Feather River in Plumas County, California. The North Fork of the Feather River will have recreational flow releases from September 24 through October 23, 2011. The flows will create rapids suitable for intermediate and advanced rafters and kayakers.

Enjoy fall colors, wildlife and rugged canyons on the North Fork of the Feather River. Part of the Feather River National Scenic Byway the Feather River Canyon (on Highway 70 between Oroville and Quincy) is one of the most beautiful drives in Northern California. It's hard to focus on driving with so much beauty everywhere you turn.
Rafting or kayaking this fork, combined with breathtaking scenery will make for an unforgettable fall weekend getaway.

Length: 8 miles
Feather River parallels California Hwy 70. Put in ath Rock Creek or farther down the river. The river is divided into 3 sections; Roger's Flat, Tobin Run, and Lobin Run with 12 rapids.
The meeting place: Tobin Vista - 36 miles south of Quincy and 47 miles north of Oroville on Highway 70.
