Remember when nails used to be one boring color? It's a good thing we've come a long way from that, nail art continues to be a popular trend this fall. Fun accents, glitter, and designs really pack the extra punch. Colors this season remain pretty basic, so stick to the darker hues. Black is back especially in matte, oxblood red, deep green, gray, and even beige are all colors to be worn this fall.
Funky French- For a unique twist on the french just add glitter to the tips. This can be done with any color but looks extremely chic on a nude colored nail. Check out this look from the Jenny Packham.
Black and White - Any combination of black and white will do. Isn't it funny how fashion trends can transition to nails? Try a black and white stripe pattern. Apply white first and use scotch tape to create straight black lines, however make sure the base color is completely dry before applying the tape or it will rip the polish right off. Go abstract and mismatch the lines.
Accents- Stickers, rhinestone, or studs. Anything you can add to give nails an extra pop is in. The Nail Art Rock Chic Stud Kit from Amazon.com contains 500 pieces including studs, rhinestones and pearls for just $4.99. All you have to do is stick it on to the wet polish. Always add a top coat to keep it sealed.
Cuticles- Who knew they could be so cute? Add a half moon shape to the bottom of the nail, right by where the cuticle is located. Try this black and nude color block from the La Perla runway. Double up on the trends and do a black and white or a glitter design.
Metallic- Gold or silver, a shiny lacquer will have people lusting after your nails. Sephora by OPI offers a Perfect Pair Nail Colour Set in 24k gold and sterling silver colors.
