Fall 2012 runway trend to try now: peacock blue eyeliner

There have been many Fall 2012 runway shows that are featuring a dramatic cat eye this year, but with an interesting twist: bold, blue eyeliner.  Whether a peacock blue or a sapphire blue, it’s a color that truly makes the eyes pop and can add a fun twist to your makeup routine.  Here are the shows that did it, and the products they used to create the look:

Corey Lynn Calter- This show featured a mod eyeliner look using Too Faced Cosmetics.  Their director of Global Artistry, Kalina Fernandez, used their Perfect Eyes Eyeliner in Perfect Peacock for this 60’s inspired look.

L.A.M.B.- Maybe not as practical a look as the other shows on this list with the eyeliner drawn above the crease rather than the actual lash line, but a cool effect nonetheless.  To get this look, or to just have another great blue in your arsenal, you can use Maybelline Eye Studio Master Drama Cream Pencil in Sapphire Strength.

Tracy Reese- Mally Roncal used a product from her own line, Mally Beauty, to create this look.  Mally Beauty Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner in Caribbean Sea was applied above the upper lash line, extending just past the eyes for a universally-flattering shape.

Catherine Malandrino- A dramatic cat eye that contained many colors, but you can guess what one of the pop colors was.  For the peacock blue portion of this cat eye, the Sephora Pro team used Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream in colors #20 (Intense Blue) and #21 (Turquoise) for a completely waterproof/smudgeproof look.
