fall 2009 fashion colors (Photos)

Like the changing seasons, the colors of fashion change.  Actually some colors mutate, either the change  is dramatic becomes lighter or it could be a settle change with richer tone.  Who comes up with these assortment of colors or how does the fashion industry know what colors will be popular for fall 2009 and beyond.  

The company that is responsible for our color selections will be Pantone.  Pantone was founded by  Lawrence Herbert in 1963, Pantone is responsible for creating a color matching and communication system for fashion, painting industry, etc.  For fashion when it   comes down to  attracting the   consumer to spend money, which is why a list of colors  is created for  the season and year .   What are the colors of fall 2009?  American Beauty, Purple Heart, Honey Yellow, Iron (aka new black), Burnt Sienna, Nomad, Rapture Rose, Warm Olive, Majolica Blue, Creme Brulee.
