The latest NFL live streaming online and televised game coverage will allow fans to watch or listen to the Atlanta Falcons vs. San Francisco 49ers as they battle on Monday Night Football. It's the historic last regular season game ever at the 49ers' home stadium of Candlestick Park, as well as a chance for San Francisco to clinch a playoff spot. This latest Monday Night Football game will be a televised and live streaming NFL game provided for fans through ESPN networks.

A Dec. 23 report from ESPN.com indicates that this is the final MNF game to be played at Candlestick Park, which is the most of any stadium. Miami's Sun Life Stadium ranks second with 32 Monday Night Football games. It will feature teams with reverse records, as the Falcons are just 4-10 and the 49ers are 10-4. San Francisco is playoff-bound with a win, while Atlanta is mostly draft-bound despite having a top-ten quarterback at the helm.

In terms of stats and rankings, neither team has any players in the top five for any major offensive or defensive categories, although Matt Ryan ranks eighth in terms of quarterback total passing yards. One has to scroll farther down the list to find Colin Kaepernick. The 49ers quarterback is 21st in the category. However, many fans and analysts believe defense helps win championships. In the NFL, the 49ers are currently leaders in "total defense," but they've played one less game than both Seattle and Carolina, who are second and third, respectively.

The 49ers currently rank at fourth in pass defense as they hold opponents to an average of 199.7 yards per game, and fifth in rush defense, holding opponents to just under 100 yards per game. They're also fifth in rushing yards, while Atlanta ranks eighth in passing thanks to Matt Ryan. With a strong pass defense, and Atlanta's lack of defense this year, it appears this game is on par to be a final Candlestick Park victory lap for San Francisco as they head to the postseason.

As 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh has said, his team tonight is the team that "doesn't want to screw up" the final game at Candlestick Park. That would seem to justify San Francisco entering this game favored by two touchdowns over the subpar Falcons. As of this report, San Francisco sits at second place in the NFC West, with the division-leading Seahawks and the NFC South's Panthers the only teams to clinch playoff spots in the NFC. San Francisco knows that with a win tonight, they're in, as they bid farewell to the memorable Candlestick Park.

To watch Monday Night Football featuring the Atlanta Falcons versus San Francisco 49ers, fans can check out ESPN on cable or satellite television beginning at 8:30 p.m. EST. In addition, WatchESPN is live streaming this game online for customers of specific cable or satellite companies who are associated with the ESPN broadband sports network. There's also audio coverage available for this game for subscribers to NFL Audio Pass as well as Sirius XM radio NFL or sports package.
