Now that the temperatures are trending upward, interest in joining a league at Falcon Ridge Golf Club is heating up.
The 27-hole facility, which is located across from the Rideau-Carleton Entertainment Centre just off Albion Road, hosts several leagues for men and women.
“We organize and operate a Monday night men’s league, a Tuesday night women’s league, a Tuesday senior circuit for men and women, a Wednesday night women’s league and a new Monday morning women’s league,” said Steve Spratt, Falcon Ridge’s general manager. “They offer time flexibility so golfers have choices as to when they can easily plan their rounds.”
Falcon Ridge welcomes its members and public golfers to tee it up for league play on the championship track and Raceview, the facility’s nine-hole executive layout. The leagues conclude in August and when the season is completed, all players are invited to banquets that include a steak dinner and the handing out of numerous prizes.
The cost each week is $35 for the nine-hole rounds, or the golfers have the option of making installment payments.
Here are the leagues bonus features:
- Complementary buckets of balls
- Longest drive and closest-to-the-pin prizes each week (gifts include $20 gift certificates to Out of Bounds restaurant)
- 20% discount on all pro shop merchandise on league nights
- Priority tee-times reserved each week
- Discounted power carts
- After golf all members enjoy specialty dinners in a social gathering at Out of Bounds (included in fee)
- 50/50 contests
The championship layout at the semi-private course plays to par 72. There are four sets of tee boxes measuring from 5,383 yards to 6,945 yards.
Raceview plays to par 35 and has two sets of tee boxes measuring from 2,158 yards to 2,563 yards.
