Fake Taylor Lautner People magazine cover photo claims actor is gay

Relax, Twilight fans. The fake People magazine cover claiming that Taylor Lautner is gay is indeed a big fake.

“It’s a pretty good Photoshopping job,” said one Cleveland-area expert who examined the fake cover, adding, “at least they didn’t spell anything wrong. But the ‘Exclusive Photos!’ pic of Brad Pitt carrying a too-young Zahari should’ve tipped us off.”

The People magazine cover is dated January 7, 2012 – and it reads, “Exclusive: Taylor Lautner – Out & Proud” and goes on to read:

Tired of rumors, the Twilight star opens up about his decision to finally come out.

“I’m more liberated, and happier than I’ve ever been,” quotes the fake People mag, attributing those words to Lautner.

The fake magazine cover is lighting up Twitter with people retweeting the news, with some wondering if it is indeed a hoax.

I guess people just got bored the day after Christmas and wanted to hone their photo editing skills and see how many people they could fool.

At least they didn't kill him off like those celebrity death hoaxes.

And leave it to the Gossip Cop to further confirm the news with a People magazine rep that it is indeed a fake story.
