'Fake friends' Kim Kardashian and Katie Couric pose together after online feud

It looks like Kim Kardashian and Katie Couric have patched things up – at least for the cameras. The reality star and the veteran news journalist posed for photos together over the weekend in the Hamptons, and they were joined by a few more famous faces.

On Sunday, E! News posted pictures of Kardashian and Couric, with supermodel and Hamptons fixture Christie Brinkley sandwiched between them. While neither Kim or Katie tweeted about the pics, Brinkley took to Twitter to gush about hanging out with two new brides (Kardashian married Kanye West in May, and Couric wed longtime love John Molner in her Hamptons back yard last month) with a series of posts.

In addition, Kardashian’s mom, Kris Jenner, posted about the photos on Instagram, writing, "Great night @kimkardashian @shellibird1 @christiebrinkley @katiecouric! #hamptonslife."

And while all of the lovely ladies were smiling in the pics, it was just last year that Couric and Kardashian were engaged in a bit of a social media feud. After Couric was quoted as saying that she didn't understand why the Kardashians were famous, Kim Kardashian famously slammed the 57-year-old news veteran. According to Us Weekly, the fur flew after Couric sent the new mom a set of Barney’s New York pajamas for newborn North West. At the time, an angry Kardashian posted a pic of the gift along with the note from Couric on Instagram, writing: "#IHateFakeMediaFriends." She also added: "#MayIHumblySuggestYouNotSendGiftsThenTalkSh*t."

Couric promptly issued an apology to Kardashian, telling the New York Daily News, "I've met Kim before and I think she's a really sweet person. I was responding to a reporter's question, and explaining how I'm intrigued by the public's fascinating with her family. I didn't mean to hurt her feelings. The gift is genuine and I'm happy for Kim and Kanye."

One year later, the event that brought the women face to face was a dinner for TV icon Marlo Thomas. According to the New York Post’s Page Six, the former “That Girl” star was honored at a dinner in Amaganasett, with a guest list that included power couples including Barbra Streisand and James Brolin, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos. In addition, celebs like Rob Reiner, Alex von Furstenberg, David Geffen, , Joy Behar, and Heidi Klum were also in attendance for the what was described as a “dinner for 20 and ended up a dinner for 80.”
