Readers count on reviews to help them decide which books to read, and which ones to pass up. One of the best places to get reviews is directly on the site of the bookseller (Amazon, B&N). Goodreads and Shelfari are also good options, where you can also connect with other readers, as well as your favorite authors.

But here's another option:

Faithful Reader is a branch of The Book Report Network, based out of New York. provides excellent information on the latest book releases - both fiction and non-fiction. There are author interviews and contests, too. But if you're looking for strictly Christian books, Faithful Reader offers all of the previously mentioned features, as well as helpful reviews.

This month's featured fiction reviews include: Sovereign: The Books of Mortals, Book 3 by Ted Dekker and Tosca Lee (Thriller/Fantasy), That Certain Summer by Irene Hannon (Romance), The Gift of a Legacy by Jim Stovall (Fiction), and Slow Moon Rising: A Cedar Key Novel by Eva Marie Everson (Romance). These are all titles you'll find at your local Grand Rapids Christian bookstores, including the newly renovated Baker Book Store, located at 2768 East Paris Ave., S.E.

So get prepared before running out to snag a novel from the bookstore. Check out for the latest reviews and book information. You may just discover some titles you'll want to add to your shopping list.
