BET's popular Celebration of Gospel was held on Saturday, March 16th at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. The air date for the two hour show is scheduled for Easter Sunday on BET. The event was hosted by Steve Harvey.
Featured performers included Tamar Braxton, Le'Andria Johnson, Israel Houghton and New Breed, Dorinda Clark Cole, Shirley Caesar, Karen Clark Sheard, Kierra Sheard, Jason Nelson, Smokie Norful and his son, Charles Jenkins, Tye Tribbett, Canton Jones, Da T.R.U.T.H., Joshua Rogers, Yolanda Adams, Donnie McClurkin, Jessica Reedy and Anthony Brown and Group Therapy.
The late Reverend James Cleveland was honored in a high-energy tribute from Dr. Bobby Jones, Kurt Carr, Donnie McClurkin and Rance Allen.
