About a year ago, I published a sneak peek article about the upcoming release of a Disney inspired wedding gown collection at Alfred Angelo. The original collection featured seven gowns, each inspired by the following Disney princesses; Ariel (The Little Mermaid, Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Cinderella, Jasmine (Aladdin), Snow White, and Tiana (The princess and the frog).
Now one year later, Alfred Angelo has released a new set of Disney princess wedding gowns. The new collection includes a gown inspired by Rapunzel, but seems to be missing an Aurora gown. The new collection is obviously more current than the old one, it features modern touches such as sleeker silhouettes, tiered skirts, asymmetrical ruffles and 3D floral embellishments. Some of the gowns in the previous collection seem to be a more accurate reflection of the princesses they were inspired by than the new gowns. My favorite in the new collection is the Cinderella gown because it is soft, feminine and elegant. My least favorite would have to be the Ariel gown, which is a shame because Ariel is my favorite Disney princess!
