After trading the lead twice over the past four days with fellow Bassmaster Elite Series pro Dean Rojas, Todd Faircloth from Jasper, Texas takes the trophy today at the 2013 Sabine River Challenge in Orange, Texas. Landing 19 of 20 keepers, Faircloth ended his event with a tournament total of 49-6.
"I caught every one of my fish on two baits," he said at this post weigh-in interview. "A Strike King Swim'n Caffeine Shad in smoke with a blue back and a Strike King 5-inch Ocho."
Faircloth stated he swam the Caffeine Shad through the grass real slow and if that missed, he backed it up with the Ocho. He noted that he saw spawners, cruisers and others on beds. "I had a special area and I milked it for everything today," said Faircloth.
