By the time they realized they had to take action, Hem and Haw were ill prepared and struggled to regain the tools they had once used to fulfill their objectives. Fear quickly took over when the change was not anticipated. Fear was debilitating. Moreover, their fear blocked their desire to take action, to take control. Without action, they waited and let things happen to them. It is much better to be aware and to take control. Examine the objective frequently in order to see change occurring. Knowing and realizing little changes, help to see the big picture and anticipate major change. (Johnson, 1998)
