Fade in and out with NOVAC's screenwriting series

The screenwriting seminar series from the New Orleans Video Access Center (NOVAC) has circulated back around for another session. Led by writer/director and NOVAC's Director of Programs, Ashley Charbonnet, the seminar is scheduled in partnership with the New Orleans Public Library to provide free programming to residents interested in the craft of screenwriting.

Fade In/Fade Out is the first in the series. It offers a fundamental introductory lecture on screenplay formatting, software, and the basic construction of of screenplay loglines.

The course will be held at the Normal E. Mayer Branch of the library, while the subsequent seminars will rotate to other branch locations. The lecture will start at 5:30pm next Wednesday (March 19).

Ashley Charbonnet holds an MFA from New York's Columbia University, and is currently developing her feature The Price of Flowers. She has been the director with NOVAC since returning to New Orleans in 2010, and actively strives to create better programming to local aspiring filmmakers, as well as cultivate the city's existing film community.
